Hockey future on TV is bleak Games are no longer sought after like they were in the past Too many cookie cutter games that become BORING to watch. No enough passion like in the olden days when it was rough and tough hockey. Too much money being paid out and ticket prices are way out of wack. Future of hockey needs to be leveled off and throwing big money around does not solve the root problem that exists. Too bad because it WAS the greatest sport to watch and now it is boring.

Netflix is going to lose a lot more now with them not allowing people to stream from somewhere else than your home. I know people that are already cancelling Netflix because of this.

Did you see the tweet Netflix did in 2017? It literally said, “love is sharing a password”. Netflix did the same thing Disney is trying to do. “Ok, you don’t want to pay 9.99. Well, for 5.99 you get all the same shows but have to watch commercials”. Disney lost 3.4 million subscribers and were giving the service for free through Verizon. Netflix is pulling “the record store” scam.

Tower Records was a huge entity. All the way through 1999. They made the decision to stop offering singles. I.E. the customer has to buy the whole album for $20 or they can’t own the song. 1999 the year for the highest physical music media and camera film. Digital decimated both platforms. iTunes came after Spotify was sued by everyone. The believe that people will automatically pay more because you say so is insane. If Netflix continues to lose expect the board to step in like it did at Disney. They split the theme parks from the “entertainment” and made ESPN its own division. Now you can’t hide numbers. Is ESPN+ paying for itself? Look how many sports are included in that sub fee. Sinclair (parent company of Diamond Sports/Bally sports) grossly overcommitted to a market that has 100k fewer views this year than last year. Plus, they compete with ESPN on some of the same games! The league needed cash bad, NBC wouldn’t pay it. The good news is that for 30 days nothing should change. At that point you are getting closer to the end of the season and can try and work out a band aid solution

Gotta love companies that are making a lot of money but get greedy and try and squeeze more money out of their customers and end up pissing most of them off. Question is will they realize it and backtrack before people move on to the next thing and they end up being history.
